Tik Maynard
Tik Maynard has been competing in Modern Pentathlon since 2002. He was on the
Junior National Team and attended Junior World Championships in Athens, Greece
in 2003. He has been on the Senior National Team for five years, and has
competed at two World Championships, and the 2007 Pan-American Games in Rio,
Brazil. Maynard has been Junior National Champion once, and has won gold at the
National Championships twice.
Like most Canadian Modern
Pentathletes, Tik Maynard heard about the sport through Pony Club. While in Pony
Club Maynard competed in Tetrathlon, show jumping, Prince Philip Games, and
passed his 'A' test.
In 2008 Tik Maynard's quest to make the Olympic Team was cut short by a broken
clavicle while competing at a World Cup in Mexico. Currently he is taking a year
away from pentathlon and is working in the equestrian field, first in Germany
and then in the USA. Click here to contact him!
